The patented minerals take on the role of primary sanitizer. During your normal filtration cycle, as the minerals pass back through the unit, they are constantly rejuvenated.

Freestanding spas have a small enough volume of water that the RX system in conjunction with a non-chlorine oxidizer and a clarifier. Technically, the same can be done in a pool. However because of the volume of water in a pool a non-chlorine oxidizer would have to be added frequently in large amounts. Most pool owners find it much more practical and economical to use either a chlorine floater or an automatic chlorine feeder to maintain a low residual chlorine level of .5ppm much more economical and practical.

What is PoolRx & SpaRX? It's a natural system the natural purification properties of Zinc, Silver, and Copper. The Unit consists of a specially treated metallic cooper/nickel alloy rod, which is compacted with a patented combination of minerals. The RX system is a safe yet powerful water purification system that reduces your requirement for chlorine from anywhere between 50% and 90%. The system naturally eliminates algae, bacteria and viruses more effectively than traditional methods (See 3rd party Lab Results). A small unit is placed in the pump or skimmer basket of your pool or spa.

How does the RX System work?
When the unit is placed in water (swimming pool or spa), the minerals which are packed inside the metallic rod dissolve out within 4 to 6 hours and dispense throughout the water. This forms a stable mineral balance in the water, which is not dissipated by sunlight or heat.

After installation the minerals go to work immediately and results will be evident within 24 hours. The RX, minerals are rejuvenated when they pass back through the unit in the leaf trap or skimmer. This process allows the minerals to regain their charge to continuously attack the algae, bacteria and viruses in your pool or spa water making the RX system a phenomenal sanitizer. The PoolRX minerals are lost during the swimming season through backwash and splash out and need to be recharged in six months with a PoolRX Recharger. In a spa the SpaRX unit and minerals will last for three months. However, in the event of excessive splash out or water loss the minerals will have to be replaced with SpaRX liquid minerals.
