An
Ongoing Success Story
Now in its 16th year, Los Angeles-based Custom Design &
Construction is a multiple award-winning residential remodeling
firm offering design-build services that run the gamut from kitchens
and baths to whole house remodeling. The company follows a business
philosophy that combines the caring, personal approach typical of
a small company with wide-ranging capabilities and experience found
in larger organizations. Custom Design & Construction has posted
growth figures every year since its founding.
A
key reason for this success is one-stop shopping—a service
that sets this company apart and is greatly appreciated by homeowners.
From initial planing to the final walk-through, Custom Design &
Construction’s versatility and expertise enhance all aspects
of a remodeling project’s design as well as the actual construction.
Custom
Design & Construction can also handle the entire financing process
in-house. Consequently, homeowners can avoid the exhausting, sometimes
frustrating, search for a lender. They have greater peace of mind,
too, knowing that the remodeler financing their project will be
as concerned about expenditures as they are.
Furthermore,
the design-build concept pays off in greater jobsite accountability
plus increased homeowner involvement with no added responsibility.
In fact, communication between Custom Design & Construction
personnel and the homeowner is readily available. And our unique
Design2CompletionTM process eliminates wasted time, money and headaches.
This is the result of efficient, centralized control by Custom Design
& Construction.
Why
So Many Homeowners Prefer Custom Design & Construction
•
It’s easy for homeowners to have confidence and respect in
a remodeling firm that has been honored by its peers as many times
as Custom Design & Construction. Last year alone the company
was named Remodeler of the Year for the state of California and
earned four national Chrysalis awards for professional excellence.
It also was the only winner of Professional Remodeler magazine’s
Benchmark Market Leader award in two categories.
The
leading trade magazines also voted Custom Design & Construction
one of the top 50 remodeling firms in the country and one of the
101 best companies to work for in the residential construction industry.
•
Because of its design-build operation, Custom Design & Construction
can assure top quality workmanship performed on time. Design-build
also enables the company to solve many problems that can arise immediately
on-site, rather than spend extra time conferring with an outside
designer.
•
Project management procedures that recognize and respond to the
physical and emotional strain that remodeling can put on homeowners.
As a result, special effort is made to keep them informed on the
progress of their project. The overriding objective is to make homeowners
as comfortable and worry-free as possible during remodeling.
•
Use of the most advanced technology for everything from project
design to tracking job progress. This leads to completion of the
project on time and within budget, resulting in greater client satisfaction.
•
Custom Design & Construction is the only Southern California
remodeling firm with two staff members designated Certified Aging
in Place Specialist (CAPS) by the National Association of Homebuilders,
and Certified Graduate Remodelers (CGR).
People
Make the Difference
Bill Simone, President of Custom Design & Construction
is one of the most highly respected members of the industry. He
holds a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) title, granted by the
National Association of Home Builders for outstanding professionalism
and a commitment to quality. Simone also chairs the NAHB’s
Southern California Remodelers Council and is one of two Certified
Aging-In-Place Specialists (CAPS) in Southern California.
Randy
Ricciotti, CGR, and the other CAPS, Vice President of Production,
is responsible for implementing the company’s much-admired
person-to-person project management programs. To gauge the program’s
effectiveness, he often asks clients two questions at the end of
a project: “Would you remodel again some day?” and “Would
you remodel with Custom Design & Construction?” The overwhelming
majority of those questioned answer an enthusiastic “Yes”
in both instances, according to Ricciotti.
