When the original concept was introduced to him, for a new type of slate roofing, Bob Hick immediately recognised the potential.

As Managing Director of one of Australia’s largest roofing companies, Bob sought to capitalise on the growing trend toward high quality slate roofing. If the same high quality roof could be built, but at a lower cost to the home owner, then considerable market share could be won, was the proposition Bob pursued. With that in mind, a system was developed that achieved precisely that outcome and so Nu-Lok™ Roofing Systems was born.

From the initial concept, much development work and subsequent improvement has been undertaken. Each new evolution of the product has been extensively trialed and tested by the company. As well, stringent independent and recognised testing has been undertaken, of which full results are available.

The company’s mission is to develop a global business that targets those who seek quality roofing, for both residential and commercial applications, at significant cost savings. For all intents and purposes, a Nu-Lok roof has all the charm, beauty, strength and longevity of a traditional slate or ceramic tile roof at a fraction of the cost.

Distribution of the product will be by way of an issued license with income coming from the sale of that license and from on-going product and material sales to Licensees.
