Sierra Nevada Stained Glass Overlay (SNSGO) is located in picturesque Roseville, California. The "glass art" studio opened its doors in 2003, and serves residential and commercial clients in Placer and El Dorado counties. SNSGO is co-owned and operated by John Lipp.

SNSGO specializes in windows, doors and sidelights, cabinets, ceiling lights, and shower and tub enclosures. Commercial applications include windows, doors, domes, and room dividers.

Products and Services: Sierra Nevada Stained Glass Overlay sells, fabricates and installs simulated stained and leaded glass, beveled glass and other window treatment products. These custom works of "glass art" can be created to be installed in windows, doors, cabinets, ceilings, showers, and any other area that would be enhanced by the beauty provided through glass art.

SGO products are unlike traditional stained glass in that they are produced by overlaying various types and colors of Mylar film, colored or textured, on a solid pane of glass and then applying lead strips between the separate colors. Although the finished product is almost indistinguishable from traditional stained glass, it is stronger and more versatile in that it can be applied to ceilings, showers and other areas where the use of stained glass is not practical. The finished SGO product has residential and commercial uses. It can be applied to any type of glass, whether annealed, tempered, or safety glass and can also be incorporated into insulated units. A window covered 100% with the overlay product eliminates harmful UV rays, and also complies with specifications for safety glass.

SNSGO will visit your home or business location to help design the perfect solution for your requirements. We will take measurements and determine installation requirements. After creating your piece of custom art, we will again be on-site to guarantee a perfect installation.

We are a member of the Building Industry Association and are working with many reputable builders in their new construction. Model homes now feature our designer glass.

We all enjoy the California sun, and many of our homes have large beautiful windows to brighten our rooms. The downside to these windows is that our privacy is compromised, our air conditioning bill is high, and the UV rays are fading our carpets and furniture. Our product can take care of these problems beautifully.
