Beautiful stone structures are an ancient craft that has been around for centuries that endures and when built with grace and style it is something that everyone can appreciate for many years. Limestone has been used to add beauty add depth to famous cathedrals, museums, buildings and distinctive homes around the world. It is art that demands patience, skill and meticulous attention to detail. Every home is different and every block of stone is different. This is what Euan Pettitt and Phil Lopez wanted to be able to provide to their customers when they partnered and created Silver Stoneworx in Santa Rosa, California.

Silver Stoneworx regularly carries two varieties of limestone: one is a yellow cream color and the other is a light gray with some brown and yellow touches. Homeowners seeking more variety can select from among 15 types of limestone at the company’s disposal. From fireplaces, window surrounds, barbecue areas, pizza ovens, stove hoods, vanities and interior and exterior wall coatings, “We are the only company that offers high-end, interior-finished limestone. You can get precut fireplaces, but people who want real stone come to us. We do all the fabrication and everything is custom made,” says Euan.

Because everything is custom made, there is no showroom. Instead, Euan personally meets with each client or interior designer at the home to show them samples of his work and discuss tastes, expectations, as well as timelines and budgets. Some homeowners show Euan photos of something they found in a magazine that they want him to recreate. He can add special touches because he is also a sculptor and carver.

After a final project has been selected, Euan draws a picture to scale so the homeowner or designer can see what the finished creation will look like. By doing this, we are able to create a comfortable working relationship and a final product that exceeds expectations. Once the project is approved, fabrication takes about two weeks and installation can usually be done in a couple of days.

Euan’s experience, pride in craftsmanship and personalized service can be seen in the high quality of his work. “If you can envision it in stone, we can make it in stone.”
