A little over five decades ago, the San Fernando Valley was a sprawling panorama of orange and lemon groves, the Antelope, Conejo, and Santa Clarita valleys were dusty desert outposts and the sleepy little towns of Ventura and Bakersfield were welcome stops for truckers on their way to and from LA.

Then the building boom hit Southern California, and it has never stopped. And right in the center of that boom was Terry Lumber. Terry Mullin helped usher in a whole new era in building by supplying the kind of service and quality building materials contractors and developers couldn’t find anywhere else. In the lumberyard, Terry Lumber employees knew every builder on a first name basis, and business was done on a handshake.
